Determine Your Color Scheme
Looking around at the rest of your room, pull 3-4 colors from your walls, furniture, and art work, and try to keep everything on your coffee table within this color family.
Create Sections

Books!
Stacking books is a great way to fill space on your table, and to create a simple section for you to place items and kick knacks on top of. For budget-friendly options, visit your local used book store to find neatly designed books within your color scheme. One of our favorite coffee table books is the Architectural Digest Coffee Table Book.
Natural Elements
Incorporating natural elements such as a vase of flowers, small plants, or faux branches gives the arrangement some height, color and texture.
Height
Speaking of height, it can bring a lot more excitement and interest to the table! Thinking about the heights of your coffee table objects as a “triangle” formation (see both images above) can make for a balanced design.
