BEFORE & AFTER: DEER RUN RENOVATION
One of our most memorable projects from 2020 was the complete first floor remodel and redesign of a dated home in Deer Run, a neighborhood in Zionsville, Indiana. The client originally reached out to us in February, and we spent most of the year planning and perfecting details for before setting the project in motion.
They put an emphasis on accommodating their large Italian family for the holidays with a more open floor plan and modernizing all cosmetic details of their home that were still dwelling in the 90s. A modern, clean and bright design was what they were after, and we jumped at the opportunity to make their dreams come to life!
With the client’s love for white and natural textures in mind, we carefully selected vendors, finishes and details that would work together to achieve the look we desired. We found the perfect cabinet maker for the job in southern Indiana to accomplish the white oak wooden details they were after--we formed such a great bond with them from this first design that we now partner with them exclusively for all of our cabinetry projects!
To achieve the spacious and modern design we were after, we re-configured the entry and stairway, removed all half walls, created a new opening into the kitchen where the living room fireplace resided, completed full kitchen and bathroom remodels, and tied everything together with white oak, custom detailed trim work, fresh paint, and modern finishes.
Everything came together stunningly, and this became one of our favorite projects to date! See the before and after photos and design project details below.
