Two and a half years ago I came to the realization that I needed to make a major change— both for my family and for me. Although I enjoyed my career as a merchandiser for a large furniture chain (basically the creative designer of the store’s displays), I felt stretched between my job and my responsibilities at home. As many moms can relate, there’s a ridiculous demand on the 24 hours each day that fly by between carpool and commuting. With that in mind, I decided that my family and career would be best served if I worked from home.
