Transforming Tradition: The Bent Tree Kitchen Makeover

A stunning kitchen transformation right here in Zionsville, IN, that redefines modern living while staying true to the home’s traditional roots. What We Walked Into
This particular client's kitchen, a relic of early 2000s Tuscan design, was ripe for a refresh. They dreamed of something sleek and modern, a kitchen that would dazzle with its aesthetics and improve their daily living. Recognizing the need to evolve from the dark, ornate woods and classic patterns, we were excited to breathe new life into this space.
Our Approach to Customization
Central to bringing this vision to life was redesigning the cabinetry. We introduced custom-made cabinets that optimized functionality and enhanced the kitchen’s modern appeal. Painted in a soft white, the new upper and lower cabinets boast minimalist lines and understated gold hardware, offering a striking contrast to the darker natural wood of the island centerpiece. White countertops with subtle veins complete the look and completely transform this kitchen. The mix not only highlights our craftsmanship in custom cabinetry but also our dedication to creating unique spaces tailored to this homeowner's taste.
Additionally, by eliminating a raised island lip, we were able to extend the island overhang for additional bar seating that was more comfortable and practical for the client. We also removed a double oven unit, which allowed us to extend lower-cabinet storage and countertop space to the right of the cooktop. This also allowed the client to install a brand-new oven and 6-burner stovetop, complete with a pot filler.
Finally, we added even more storage to the island than the homeowner had originally, including a dedicated baking sheet drawer and hidden paper towel holder drawer that eliminated counter clutter while keeping key cleaning supplies within reach.
The Finer Details
We approach every project looking for ways to improve and make things unique through small and subtle details. We truly believe the little things often make the biggest impact. For this kitchen remodel, one of our favorite details was the stone shelves next to the range—a stylish yet practical touch that elevates the entire look. Blending in seamlessly with the backsplash, these shelves add that touch of elegance and much needed shelving space near the oven range. Tapered sconces hung above each shelf offer soft and sophisticated accent lighting that highlights the shelving decor and provides just enough illumination for a soft evening glow on either side of the oven range.
Timely Transformation
Kitchen remodels are particularly stressful, so we strive to complete these projects as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. From the initial consultation to the final walk-through, we completed this extensive kitchen remodel in just seven weeks. The kitchen's original layout with a central island and proper traffic flow also made this timeline possible, as little reconfiguration was needed.
